A UTILIZAÇÃO DA CRIPTOGRAFIA NO ENSINO DE FUNÇÕES NA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA

Cryptography has been present since ancient times with the aim of sending messages that only the sender and the recipient could understand. To this end, cryptography has evolved, from Caesar's cipher to the present day with computers. Thus, this work primarily aims to approach mathematics in a contextualized way in the study of functions through the use of cryptography concepts. In this sense, the research has as its general objective to carry out a study on the implementation of cryptography in the teaching of functions and to verify the possible results. The field research scenario will take place at IFPI on the São João do Piauí campus with students in the 3rd year of technical courses integrated with high school in administration. For this purpose, a questionnaire containing questions about domain, image, zero of the function was applied. Subsequently, a pedagogical proposal of such contents was made through cryptography in order to analyze the possible results. With such a proposal, an improvement in the teaching-learning process in mathematics classes in the contents of functions was expected.

Analysis of Economic and Financial Indicators

sugar-energy sector plays a fundamental role in the Brazilian economy and society, with a strong participation in the national GDP and growing social and environmental relevance. This study analyzed the economic and financial health of a Brazilian company in the sector between 2015 and 2020, using liquidity, capital structure, and profitability indicators. The data were obtained through documentary analysis, based on balance sheets and quarterly financial statements available on the company's investor relations website. The results showed current and dry liquidity ratios higher than the market averages, indicating good solvency capacity. As for the capital structure, there was an increase in the use of third-party capital to finance the company's activities. In terms of profitability, the net margin, ROI and ROE indicators were positive throughout the period analyzed, suggesting consistent profitability and good financial health.

THE NEW FRONTIERS OF SMART AND DIGITAL RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Throughout organizational history, strategies for recruiting and attracting talent to join the workforce have undergone significant transformations. The advent of the paradigm known as HR 4.0, characterized by the incorporation of innovative technologies and methodologies, represents a turning point in this digital transformation. This modern circumstance raises a considerable range of obstacles for business entities that aim to adapt to this new reality. Therefore, this study aims to present the main obstacles that HR specialists face when introducing innovative recruitment and selection practices, as well as the tactics used to overcome such barriers. The methodological architecture of this research is based on an analysis of specialized literature. The findings of this research reveal the most common obstacles that hinder the assimilation of recruitment 4.0, while also pointing out paths and strategies used to mitigate its impacts. Likewise, it highlights the crucial elements that require improvement to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of selection procedures. Therefore, we realize that putting HR 4.0 into practice still faces some major obstacles. The main one involves the money that needs to be invested in new technologies, the preparation of people who work in HR to deal with these new developments, and how to combine these digital tools with the routine of taking care of the team. Even with these obstacles, companies that approach these points with planning and care have a great chance of making their processes for finding and selecting people much better, faster, and aligned with what the job market currently demands in this new era.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT IN THE AGE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATION

Technological evolution has brought profound changes to labor relations and business management models. The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation has transformed not only operational processes but also the roles performed by professionals within organizations. The replacement of repetitive tasks with intelligent machines and automated algorithms requires leaders to be more strategic, inclusive, and prepared to handle the new demands of an increasingly digital and dynamic labor market. In this context, the present scientific article aims to discuss people management in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation. Therefore, the general objective is to understand the effects of Artificial Intelligence and automation on people management. The choice of this topic is justified by the current relevance of the debate on the future of work and the need to promote critical reflection on how organizations are adapting to the new technological reality. Regarding the methodology, this research is characterized as qualitative, exploratory in nature, with a descriptive focus. The approach method adopted is deductive, based on a bibliographic review. In the end, it was possible to conclude that the key to success in the age of Artificial Intelligence and automation lies in a more conscious, strategic, and human-centered people management.

O IMPACTO DAS REDES SOCIAIS NO DIREITO, DESAFIOS E PERSPECTIVAS

MANAGER IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: ANTAGONIST OR COOPERATOR OF TEACHING WORK

School management in early childhood education seeks the integral development of children, focusing on their physical, emotional, social and cognitive development. However, the role of the school manager is still often associated with bureaucratic practices and distanced from the daily pedagogical reality. This scenario proved to be challenging when analyzing the role of the manager in articulating with teachers and in conducting pedagogical projects in early childhood education. The topic in question was limited to the analysis of the role of the school manager in this segment, questioning whether his/her stance is cooperative or antagonistic in relation to teaching practices. This research shows the ͏importance of active leadership, ͏sensitive to the particularities of childhood and committed to the work of teachers. It ends with the idea that overcoming the difficulties ͏faced in early childhood education depends on school management ͏promoting dialogue, active listening, and ͏engagement with the collective during the practical and meaningful construction for the development of children.

USO DE SENSORIAMENTO REMOTO NA IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE DEGRADAÇÃO EM ÁREAS DE PRESERVAÇÃO PERMANENTE AO LONGO DO RIO CUPIJÓ EM CAMETÁ – PA

As Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APPs), são um dos elementos estruturais de conservação de grande importância para o ecossistema, contribuem de forma decisiva nos processos de preservação da biodiversidade e prevenção de processos erosivos, além de contribuir para qualidade da água. No entanto a degradação dessas áreas tem se tornado um problema constante, principalmente pela ação do homem com desmatamento e ocupação desordenada. Diante disto objetivo desta pesquisa foi através do sensoriamento remoto e uso de imagens de satélite fazer uma análise em um trecho do rio Cupijó no município de Cametá-PA, identificando e quantificando as áreas degradadas ao longo da APP. Para análise das áreas de APP, foram utilizadas imagens de satélite obtidas de forma gratuita junto a plataforma Sentinel Hub para os anos de 2004 e 2024. Para o ano de 2004 foram o utilizadas imagens do sensor TM LANDSAT 5, e para o ano de 2024 foram utilizadas imagens do sensor Multispectral Instrument (MSI) do satélite Sentinel-2. As bandas do infravermelho próximo (NIR) e do vermelho visível (RED) foram selecionadas para análise da vegetação, o que é necessário para o cálculo do Índice de Vegetação por Diferença Normalizada (NDVI). Após o processamento das imagens usando o software QGIS, foi quantificado o tamanho da área de APP, bem como identificado os pontos de degradação. Através das técnicas de sensoriamento remoto foi possível quantificar as áreas de Preservação Permanente ao longo rio Cupijó, podendo essa técnica ser adotada para o mapeamento de outros rios dentro do município de Cametá com custo baixo. Foi identificado vários pontos de degradação ao longo do trecho do rio Cupijó, verificou-se que ao longo dos últimos 20 anos ocorreu um aumento no tamanho da área degradada, o que serve de alerta para os gestores municipais.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROCEDURE LAW: COLLECTIVE CIVIL JURISDICTION.

This study addresses Environmental Procedural Law, focusing on collective civil jurisdiction as an essential mechanism for the defense of diffuse and collective rights related to the environment. Considering the increase in urgent environmental issues, the role of the Judiciary is highlighted as fundamental for the enforcement of constitutional environmental rights. The research is bibliographical in nature, with an analysis of legislation, articles, journals and relevant publications on the subject, accessible in physical and electronic media. Objectives: To explore the main procedural instruments for environmental protection in Brazil, such as public civil action, environmental class action, collective security warrant and environmental injunction warrant, highlighting their applicability and importance for environmental protection. Results: It was found that these instruments strengthen the Judiciary's role in preventing and repairing environmental damage, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability and ensuring the quality of life for present and future generations.

O ENSINO DA MATEMÁTICA PARA ALUNOS SURDOS: INCLUSÃO, ACESSIBILIDADE E ATUAÇÃO DOS INTÉRPRETES DE LIBRAS NO PROCESSO EDUCACIONAL

Pesquisas envolvendo inclusão e acessibilidade estão em constante desenvolvimento no nosso país, mostrando a importância que as políticas públicas exercem frente ao tema. Um conjunto de condições e possibilidades é fundamental frente ao assunto, desde a criação de leis específicas e adaptação dos ambientes escolares visando diminuir a segregação sofrida pelos surdos ao longo da história. Pensando nisso, o presente artigo tem como foco estabelecer uma ligação entre o ensino da Matemática e a inclusão escolar oferecendo acessibilidade no ensino da Matemática para alunos surdos. Serão realizados estudos sobre as nuances da Língua Brasileira de Sinais, desde os fundamentos da língua, passando pela tradução/interpretação e contextualizando sobre o papel do professor e do tradutor/intérprete (ILS) nas diversas situações do dia a dia, destacando a importância do elo entre os profissionais com o objetivo de oferecer um maior suporte e educação de qualidade aos alunos com deficiência auditiva nas aulas de Matemática.

ATENÇÃO FARMACEUTICA NA HIPOCONDRIA

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the uniqueness of the memory dimension in hypochondriasis. The physical pain that characterizes him represents one of the most archaic ways of living the experience of death, projecting itself into the concreteness and immediacy of the body. In hypochondria, the persecutory character acting on the subject's body represents a 'realization' in the sense of a demonic reappearance of the original traumatic experience. The imminent danger of death resulting from the serious illness that these subjects believe they are suffering from represents a permanent awareness of their physical condition. This is attributed to the persistence of mental life during the time presented, which is the near-old age of the perceptual register. In this way, the ego realizes its most basic and primordial mode of existence and, paradoxically, protects itself from the effects of traumatic events. However Pharmaceutical assistance is an essential tool in treating patients with hypochondriasis because hypochondriasis is a complex disease that involves everything from dosing schedules to the use of medications that affect the central nervous system and the patient's daily life.

ANÁLISE IN SILICO DAS ATIVIDADES FARMACOLÓGICAS E TOXICOLÓGICAS DOS COMPOSTOS SECUNDÁRIOS PRESENTES NAS FOLHAS DA Campomanesia xanthocarpa E ANÁLISE DE SUAS POSSÍVEIS INTERAÇÕES COM ALVOS MOLECULARES NAS DISLIPIDEMIAS

Campomanesia xanthocarpa é uma planta com potenciais efeitos na redução dos níveis de colesterol, auxiliando no controle da obesidade. Neste estudo, foram analisados os compostos secundários clinicamente relevantes presentes nas folhas de C. xanthocarpa . As moléculas foram validadas na plataforma PubChem, projetadas e otimizadas usando o software ACD/ChemSketch para análises subsequentes. A predição da interação com alvos moleculares associados à dislipidemia foi realizada usando a plataforma SwissTargetPrediction, e alguns compostos apresentaram probabilidade de ligação à HMG-CoA redutase, aos receptores PPAR (α, δ e γ) e ao receptor canabinoide tipo 2 (CB2). As propriedades físico-químicas, farmacocinéticas e toxicológicas foram preditas usando os programas PreADMET e ProTox-3. A maioria dos compostos apresentou características favoráveis para uso oral, boa absorção intestinal em humanos e capacidade de atravessar a barreira hematoencefálica. Em relação à toxicidade, a maioria dos compostos apresentou potencial carcinogênico em modelos animais e risco médio de arritmogenicidade. Em geral, os compostos analisados apresentaram altos valores de DL₅₀, sugerindo baixa toxicidade. Além disso, não apresentaram hepatotoxicidade, um dos principais benefícios observados, visto que esta é uma reação adversa presente nas estatinas. A maioria também não demonstrou potencial para induzir neurotoxicidade ou toxicidade respiratória.

AUMENTO DO PRAZO MÁXIMO DA MEDIDA SOCIOEDUCATIVA DE INTERNAÇÃO

Atualmente, têm surgido Projetos de Lei que propõem o aumento do tempo máximo de internação definitiva previsto no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, sob a justificativa de garantir maior ressocialização dos adolescentes autores de atos infracionais e assegurar a segurança da sociedade – propostas que, inclusive, têm recebido amplo apoio popular. A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar essas propostas legislativas em tramitação no Senado, que sugerem o aumento do prazo máximo da medida socioeducativa de internação, atualmente fixado em três anos. Busca-se examinar os principais argumentos apresentados nos referidos projetos de lei que defendem a ampliação desse prazo, avaliando sua viabilidade à luz do ordenamento jurídico brasileiro e dos princípios que regem a aplicação dessa medida. Para tal finalidade, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o conceito da medida socioeducativa de internação definitiva e os princípios que a norteiam, bem como uma análise, por meio da pesquisa documental, dos projetos de lei em questão, incluindo os argumentos contrários e favoráveis à alteração.

A INCLUSÃO DE CRIANÇAS COM AUTISMO NOS ANOS INICIAIS: CONTRIBUIÇÕES DA PSICOLOGIA E ESTRATÉGIAS EDUCACIONAIS

This study aims to understand the contributions of psychology to educational strategies aimed at the inclusion of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the early years of elementary school. Through an integrative review, 10 articles selected based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, published between 2012 and 2022, in the SciELO and LILACS databases were analyzed. The results indicate that the inclusion of children with ASD requires significant adaptations on the part of schools and professionals involved. Pedagogical practices that promote autonomy, communication, and creativity are essential, as well as the use of assistive technologies and individualized strategies. Interdisciplinary action, involving teachers, families, psychologists, and specialists, proved to be fundamental for the success of inclusion. However, studies indicate recurring difficulties, such as the lack of continuing education for teachers, the absence of inclusive school planning, and weaknesses in the articulation between school and family. In addition, Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) was highlighted as a necessary resource to ensure individualized support. The main limitations are discussed at the end.

A Psicologia Hospitalar como Estratégia de Humanização e Saúde Pública no Contexto da Pandemia de COVID-19

This paper focuses on the role of hospital psychologists and their contribution to the humanization of care in the context of Brazilian public health. Based on human experiences marked by psychological suffering and existential pain, especially in hospitalization situations, the need for qualified listening and emotional support emerges – fundamental dimensions in the care process. The general objective of the research is to analyze the role of hospital psychologists as agents of humanization, particularly in the face of the challenges aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The research problem that guides the study asks: how can the role of hospital psychologists contribute to the humanization of public health care, considering the challenges faced by patients, teams, and family members, especially in crisis contexts such as the COVID-19 pandemic? The methodology adopted is qualitative, with a focus on bibliographic review. The SciELO database, the PePSIC portal, and specialized books in the area were used as research sources. The results show that, although there has been progress in the consolidation of Hospital Psychology, its inclusion in health services is still fragile, especially regarding the presence of professionals on call. This precariousness may be related to both cost containment and neglect of mental health as a preventive investment. The research reinforces the need to broaden the understanding of health as physical, mental and social well-being, as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), justifying the continuous presence of psychologists in the hospital environment as a condition for truly humanized care.

KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE OF THE GLUTEN-FREE DIET BY NON-CELIAC PEOPLE

Introduction: the practice of a gluten-free diet is growing, motivated by a belief that this attitude leads to a healthier diet, including weight loss. Objective: to fill the information gap regarding the knowledge and practice of a gluten-free diet by non-celiac people. Method: the sample consisted of 42 participants who responded to an online questionnaire between January and June 2019. Results: the majority of respondents are women between 31 and 40 years old with schooling ranging from college to graduate. Of these (N = 26), live in the southeastern region of the national territory. Among the sources of information about the gluten-free diet, “nutritionists and doctors” stand out with 73.8% (N = 31), followed by social media and internet videos with 38% (N = 16); magazines and newspapers with 26.1% (N = 11) and friends and family with 11.9% (N = 5). Conclusion: in the population evaluated, the adoption of a gluten-free diet by non-celiac people is largely influenced by nutritionists and doctors, in addition to being carried out without the need and adequate knowledge, resulting in situations that are harmful to health.

MICROBIOLOGIA DAS FEZES DE LEITÕES ALIMENTADOS COM FARINHA DE RESÍDUO DO PROCESSAMENTO AGROINDUSTRIAL DE Psdium guajava L.

Guava contains phenolic compounds with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties that may benefit the digestive and immune health of piglets. This study investigated the effect of guava residue flour on the intestinal microbiota of post-weaning piglets, with diets containing guava flour and amoxicillin. Eleven treatments were evaluated in 33 piglets, incorporating dehydrated guava residue into the diets, and microbiological analysis of fecal samples was performed to count fecal coliforms and Lactobacillus spp. The results showed that tannins can benefit intestinal health, but their efficacy depends on dosage and interaction with antibiotics. High doses of antibiotics may cause dysbiosis and antibiotic resistance, while moderate doses of tannins may protect lactobacilli and promote a balanced intestinal environment. The combination of tannins and antibiotics was effective in reducing fecal coliforms, but prolonged antibiotic use may lead to bacterial resistance. The study highlights that tannins alone can be a sustainable alternative to antibiotics, promoting intestinal health without the adverse effects of antibiotics. The interaction between amoxicillin and tannins in the intestinal microbiota is complex, and further research is needed to optimize conditions for using tannins as feed additives to improve animal health and productivity.

THE TIME LAPSE FOR THE EXERCISE OF THE INHERITANCE PETITION ACTION: LEGAL, DOCTRINAL AND JURISPRUDENTIAL ASPECTS

The main objective of this study is to analyze the consequences of the fluctuations caused by the opinions of the two panels of the Second Section of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) regarding the gap in the beginning of the prescriptive term for filing an inheritance petition, provided for in articles 1,824 to 1,828 of the Civil Code, with a focus on actions involving the recognition of paternity post mortem, in order to elucidate the doctrinal concepts of the inheritance petition, its procedure and prescriptive term, in addition to addressing inheritance law and its types. Next, the relationship with the principle of Legal Certainty and the way in which the divergence in case law between the third panel and the fourth panel of the Second Section of the STJ interfere in Brazilian legal relations will be analyzed, in order to weigh the different positions.

METODOLOGIAS DE ENSINO: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

As metodologias de ensino pertencem aos desiguais rumos, planos e interpelações habitualmente usadas pelos educadores a fim de oportunizar a aprendizagem. São essenciais para moldar o sistema pedagógico às demandas dos alunos, aos propósitos educativos e ao assunto a ser lecionado. No decurso do tempo, tais técnicas se transformaram, acompanhando alterações sociais, tecnológicas e educacionais. Diante das elementares metodologias habituais evidencia-se a expositiva, centralizada no docente como condutor do conhecimento. Embora ainda ser frequente, esse processo tem se tornado progressivamente integralizada ou mudada por interpretações ativas que inserem os alunos como personagem do respectivo aprendizado. As ferramentas ativas, a exemplo da aprendizagem baseada em problemas, sala de aula invertida, aprendizagem por projetos e cases, procuram fortalecer aptidões que os ajudam nesse processo dinâmico e colaborativo. É necessário aperfeiçoar a participação do estudante acerca da inserção do conhecimento. Além do mais, a tecnologia tem empreendido uma incumbência significativa na renovação do ensino. Recursos digitais, utilizados dentro e fora do ambiente escolar, propicia experiências mais prazerosas e participativas. A seleção de metodologias deriva de inúmeros motivos, por exemplo, o perfil da turma, as metas de conhecimento, o assunto, os recursos disponíveis e o nível de conhecimento do professor. A efetividade do ensino encontra-se justamente associada à competência de sistematizar diferentes estratégias, preservando a diversidade e favorecendo a inclusão. Em suma, metodologias de ensino não são recursos definidos, mas instrumentos dinâmicos que carecem ser frequentemente remodeladas a fim de assegurar uma educação significativa, crítica e transformadora.

A STUDY ON THE STAGES OF THE MATERIAL HANDLING PROCESS IN AN INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATION IN MANAUS, BRAZIL

This study analyzed the stages of the materials handling process practiced by an industry that operates in the industrial hub of Manaus. It used the survey method, whose data were collected with the help of a semi-structured interview script and another script to observe the functioning of the process selected for study, constructed based on the theoretical architecture developed based on the literature review. The results showed that a) the materials handling process practiced consists of eight stages, with the first being performed outside the storage area, b) the equipment used for handling is used in specific substages to perform specific activities, and c) the functionalities of the equipment used are associated with the efforts to maintain the integrity of raw materials and products while contributing to streamlining the production process. The conclusion shows that the practice of the materials handling process contradicts the theoretical architecture developed in the first and the last stages.

GEOMETRIA PLANA NO PROCESSO DE LETRAMENTO MATEMÁTICO: PERSPECTIVAS DE UMA ESCOLA DA REDE PÚBLICA"

This article aims to analyze the role of teaching Plane Geometry in the development of mathematical literacy among 9th-grade students in a public school. The research adopted a qualitative approach, including a literature review and the implementation of pedagogical activities based on concrete materials and mathematical modeling. The study involved diagnostic and final tests, observations, and questionnaires to assess students' levels of mathematical literacy and their perceptions of Geometry instruction. The results indicate that pedagogical practices incorporating concrete resources and modeling strategies significantly contribute to students’ understanding and application of geometric concepts, leading to improved problem-solving performance. In conclusion, the study reinforces the importance of Geometry in the process of mathematical literacy and highlights the need for more contextualized and meaningful teaching methodologies.

A REALIZAÇÃO DA 1ª FEIRA LITERÁRIA INDEPENDENTE EM ALVORADA-RS COMO INICIATIVA DE VALORIZAÇÃO DA CULTURA LOCAL

Este artigo apresenta uma análise da 1ª Feira Literária Independente em Alvorada-RS, realizada em dezembro de 2024 por escritores e artistas locais, em resposta ao cancelamento da tradicional Feira do Livro Municipal daquele ano. A ausência de políticas públicas efetivas de apoio à cultura literária na cidade motivou a criação de um movimento autônomo, com o objetivo de criar um espaço de valorização da produção literária local, além de fomentar o acesso da comunidade à leitura e às demais formas de manifestação artística. A partir de uma abordagem qualitativa e descritiva, o estudo investiga os processos de mobilização, organização e execução do evento, os desafios enfrentados pelos envolvidos e os resultados alcançados. A pesquisa aponta que, apesar das dificuldades iniciais, a ação foi bem-sucedida em seu propósito de incentivar a cultura local, promover a troca de experiências entre os participantes e fortalecer a identidade literária de Alvorada-RS, tornando-se uma referência para futuras edições.

COMPREENDENDO A ANSIEDADE

This study proposes an in-depth analysis of anxiety as a psychological condition of high prevalence and global impact, whose relevance has intensified in recent decades, especially in the post-pandemic context. Recent data point to the significant growth of anxiety disorders in different age groups, which justifies the need for research that broadens the understanding of their determinants and forms of management. Based on the guiding question — what are the most relevant biopsychosocial factors for the increase in anxiety disorders and how can integrated approaches contribute to their prevention and treatment? — we seek to develop a critical and interdisciplinary reflection on the topic. The general objective is to analyze anxiety from a biopsychosocial perspective, articulating theoretical and practical aspects. Methodologically, this is a qualitative research, of an exploratory nature, based on a bibliographic review. The sources were selected from scientific databases such as SciELO, PePSIC and Google Scholar, with priority given to publications from the last ten years. The analysis was guided by criteria of scientific relevance, currentness and theoretical validity. Authors such as Beck, Segal, Williams, Teasdale, Hofmann, Padesky and Mooney provide the basis for the discussion, offering support for thinking about coping strategies that integrate different knowledge. This study contributes to the field by emphasizing the importance of integrative and preventive interventions, promoting a more comprehensive, ethical and sensitive approach to the complexity of anxiety in the contemporary world.

EFICIÊNCIA DOS PRINCIPAIS MÉTODOS DE IMPERMEABILIZAÇÃO EM ESTRUTURAS DE CONCRETO

Waterproofing concrete structures is essential for the durability of buildings, preventing infiltration and structural pathologies that may compromise their integrity. This study aims to compare the main waterproofing methods, analyzing their efficiency, durability, cost-effectiveness, and suitability for different structural and climatic conditions. The research was conducted through a literature review, The results indicate that membrane, rigid, and flexible waterproofing methods have distinct characteristics, with the choice of system depending on the specificities of the construction. Membrane methods, such as asphalt sheets and PVC, demonstrate high immediate efficiency, while rigid methods, such as crystallization and modified cements, stand out for their durability. Flexible systems, based on polyurethane and acrylic polymers, offer greater adaptability to structures subject to movement. The comparative analysis highlights that the selection of the ideal method should consider not only initial costs but also maintenance and compliance with current technical standards. It is concluded that the appropriate choice of waterproofing system is essential for the longevity of buildings, requiring investment in professional training and the correct application of materials.

PERDA PRECOCE DE IMPLANTES DENTÁRIOS

RESUMO

A implantodontia se consolidou como uma especialidade essencial na odontologia contemporânea, possibilitando a reabilitação oral de pacientes edêntulos, incluindo aspectos estéticos, funcionais e oclusais. No Brasil, os procedimentos com implantes dentários têm crescido de forma expressiva nas últimas décadas, impulsionados tanto pelos avanços tecnológicos quanto pela demanda por soluções duráveis e previsíveis. O sucesso clínico dos implantes depende diretamente da osseointegração, processo biológico que assegura a conexão estável entre o osso e a superfície do implante. Quando essa integração falha, especialmente nas fases iniciais, pode ocorrer a perda precoce do implante, um desfecho indesejado que compromete o tratamento. Evidências indicam que essa complicação está relacionada a uma interação complexa entre fatores locais e sistêmicos, exigindo uma avaliação criteriosa do paciente, do planejamento cirúrgico e das condições biológicas envolvidas. Diante disso, este artigo busca analisar os principais fatores envolvidos na perda precoce de implantes dentários.

DIGITAL AND INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: THE IMPORTANCE OF ACCESSIBILITY WITHIN THE DIGITAL CONTEXT

Digital technologies transform everyday reality and are becoming increasingly present in society. In this context, through a literature review, this study aims to analyze the impact of digital technologies on education, with an emphasis on accessibility issues and the use of digital tools, particularly in distance education environments. From the perspective that learning occurs through mediation between teachers and students, based on culture and each individual's experiences, this study considers how digital technologies contribute to knowledge construction and promote the inclusion of people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Grounded in the socio-interactionist perspective proposed by Vygotsky, the analysis includes a survey of educational technologies for accessibility, the preparation of teachers and students, and proposes practices to make digital environments more accessible and welcoming for all.

Case report Closed pyometra in a german Spitz Bitch: clinical case report and surgical discussion

Abstract

This study describes a clinical case of closed pyometra in an elderly female German Spitz dog, previously used for breeding. The patient presented with lethargy, abdominal distension, fever, polydipsia and anorexia. The diagnosis was based on physical examination, abdominal ultrasonography and laboratory tests, which indicated leukocytosis, neutrophilia and acute renal dysfunction. The treatment instituted was ovariohysterectomy (OSH), but the animal died in the postoperative period, despite adequate clinical support. The case highlights the need for early diagnosis and preventive spaying in females not intended for breeding, especially in old age.

O USO DOS CONTOS DE FADAS COMO METODOLOGIA DE ENSINO DA LINGUA INGLESA NA EDUCAÇAO INFANTIL

Este artigo explora o uso dos contos de fadas como metodologia para o ensino da língua inglesa na educação infantil. Os elementos lúdicos presentes nessas narrativas tornam o processo de aprendizagem mais envolvente e significativo, ao aproveitar a familiaridade das crianças com os contos para facilitar o desenvolvimento linguístico. Por meio da análise de práticas pedagógicas, o estudo busca compreender de que forma essas histórias contribuem para a ampliação do vocabulário e o estímulo à fluência oral em inglês. O texto também destaca o papel do professor na seleção e adaptação dos contos, bem como na elaboração de atividades que incentivem a participação dos alunos, promovendo uma aprendizagem mais dinâmica desde os primeiros anos escolares.

The study focuses on the theme of Clonal Coffee: Economic and Social Benefits for Regional Development from Production by Cutting Technique in the region of Rio Crespo-RO, whose contribution of the advanced technological approach serves to improve this plant and its productivity in terms of its quality. The objective was to analyze the process of economic evolution of coffee production and the difficulties faced by farmers to achieve economic surplus. In the state of Rondônia, coffee farming is of great relevance, placing the state in second place in coffee production in the country. According to Embrapa, the estimate is 2 million bags of processed coffee. Brazil is the largest exporter of specialty coffees in the world, these are high-quality beans, at the rate of 20% of exports. The country holds almost 40% of the world market. To construct the research, the bibliographic and descriptive method was used, with a qualitative approach, collecting information from the data according to publications in scientific articles, scientific journals of authors with references to the theme. The importance of the topic lies in contributing to and clarifying doubts of small and large farmers who develop or want to enable their businesses in coffee cultivation.

ANÁLISE IN SILICO DAS AÇÕES FARMACOLÓGICAS E TOXICOLÓGICAS DOS COMPOSTOS SECUNDÁRIOS PRESENTES NAS CASCAS DA Punica granatum L. E PESQUISA DE SUAS POSSÍVEIS INTERAÇÕES COM ALVOS MOLECULARES NA INFLAMAÇÃO E NAS NEOPLASIAS

A Punica granatum L. pertence à família Lythraceae, é um fruto originário do mediterrâneo oriental e médio oriente, sendo distribuída em todo o mundo, conhecida popularmente como romãzeira ou romã. Esta espécie apresenta na literatura relatos de potencialidades farmacológicas como anti-inflamatória, antioxidante e anticarcinogênica. Neste contexto este estudo analisou os compostos secundários presentes nas cascas da Punica granatum L. com a finalidade de verificar informações sobre propriedades farmacocinéticas e toxicológicas desses compostos secundários, a fim de observar possíveis relações desses compostos com alvos relacionados às inflamações e neoplasias. Analisou-se nove moléculas, sendo elas taninos, compostos fenólicos e flavonóides, onde fez-se uma análise in silico com as estruturas 3D das moléculas coletadas nas plataformas PubChem e Mol-instincts, sendo que as análises foram realizadas importando essas estruturas para as plataformas SwissTargetPrediction, ProTox 3.0 e PreADMET. Os metabólitos secundários da Punica granatum evidenciaram probabilidade de se ligarem a uma quantidade significativa de alvos relacionados com neoplasias. Em relação aos parâmetros toxicológicos, a maioria dos compostos apresentaram DL₅₀ elevadas sugerindo baixo potencial tóxico, não foram observadas evidências de hepatotoxicidade, neurotoxicidade ou cardiotoxicidade, contudo todos apresentaram potencial para toxicidade respiratória e nefrotoxicidade.

O IMPACTO DA IDEOLOGIA CAPITALISTA NA ÉTICA DA PSICOLOGIA: DESAFIOS E CONTRADIÇÕES NA PRÁTICA PROFISSIONAL

This article aims to analyze the influence of capitalist ideology on ethics and professional practice in Brazilian psychology, questioning the extent to which the values of the capitalist system permeate the work of psychologists and shape their social insertion. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted through a bibliographic review of scientific works and articles that discuss the relationships between psychology, ethics, ideology, and modes of production. The investigation is based on the assumption that capitalism interferes not only in the forms of economic production, but also in the constitution of subjectivities and professional practices. The results show that psychology often uncritically incorporates values such as productivity, performance, and individualism, reproducing utilitarian logics that can undermine its ethical commitment to listening to and providing comprehensive care for the individual. In addition, there is a risk of the critical dimension of psychology being undermined, as it becomes more aligned with market imperatives than with the principles of social transformation and collective well-being. It is concluded that it is urgent to rethink the role of psychologists in light of an ethics committed to human rights, social criticism and resistance to the forms of oppression that are perpetuated under capitalist logic.

IMPORTÂNCIA DA PROPRIOCEPÇÃO NAS ENTORSES DE TORNOZELO

This study aims to analyze the contribution of proprioceptive training to the functional recovery and prevention of ankle sprains, especially among athletes and physically active individuals. Ankle sprains are among the most common musculoskeletal injuries, typically caused by abrupt movements that exceed the physiological limits of the joint, primarily affecting the lateral ligaments. The research was conducted through an exploratory literature review, analyzing publications from 2018 to 2024, selected from databases such as SciELO, Google Scholar, CAPES Journals, and the LUMES Repository. The theoretical framework covered the anatomy and biomechanics of the ankle, the concepts of proprioception, and its application in rehabilitation. The results show that proprioceptive exercises improve joint stability, motor coordination, and muscle memory, significantly reducing recurrence rates and recovery time. The regular practice of these exercises proved effective both in the treatment and prevention of injuries, contributing to improved quality of life and physical performance. It is concluded that the systematic integration of proprioceptive training in physiotherapeutic protocols is essential for complete and safe rehabilitation.

Hospitality in Retail Services

This research analyzes hospitality in the retail context within the Brazilian Association of Party Supplies and Related Trade (ASBRAFE). The objective is to develop processes that improve interaction with its members. The guiding question of the research is: Is there engagement and hospitality in the communication established between ASBRAFE and its members? To address this question, the study investigates the process of applying a confidence index questionnaire in the market, commissioned by ASBRAFE and directed at its members and partners. A case study was used, with a qualitative approach through descriptive research on ASBRAFE, and a quantitative approach in analyzing the questionnaire results. Low levels of engagement and participation were identified, despite an optimistic economic outlook for the sector. The applied questionnaire did not fully address the concept of hospitality, indicating the need for engagement campaigns and strategies to strengthen the association’s relationship with its members.

SISTEMA SOCIOEDUCATIVO BRASILEIRO

O artigo aborda a complexidade do sistema socioeducativo brasileiro ao lidar com menores infratores. Destaca que, muitas vezes, o sistema trata esses jovens como infratores, reforçando ciclos de exclusão e marginalização ao invés de promover sua reintegração social. A Lei 12.594/2012 criou o Sistema Nacional de Atendimento Socioeducativo, que busca oferecer medidas alternativas à privação de liberdade, como advertência, prestação de serviços à comunidade, liberdade assistida, semiliberdade e internação, sempre com foco na reabilitação e direitos do adolescente. No entanto, a aplicação dessas medidas, especialmente a internação, muitas vezes viola o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, que exige ambientes segregados por idade e infração, além de atividades pedagógicas. A convivência em unidades inadequadas pode reforçar comportamentos negativos, como violência e criminalidade, influenciando o aprendizado social dos jovens. Teóricos explicam como comportamentos são moldados pelo ambiente, reforços e modelagem social, muitas vezes levando adolescentes a evoluir de crimes menores para mais graves. A pesquisa conclui que a violação dessas normas e a má estrutura do sistema contribuem para a perpetuação do ciclo de criminalidade juvenil, evidenciando a necessidade de políticas mais humanas e eficazes para promover a verdadeira reabilitação e proteção dos direitos dos jovens.

MINDFULNESS E MEDITAÇÃO

This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of mindfulness and meditation practices as integrative therapies in the treatment of anxiety and stress disorders, considering their application as a complementary resource to traditional psychotherapy. The methodology adopted is exploratory in nature, with a qualitative approach, based on a bibliographic review of scientific articles, specialized books and empirical studies on the psychophysiological effects of these practices. The justification for the research lies in the need to offer theoretical and practical support to clinical psychologists, expanding their capacity to intervene in the face of individual and collective psychological suffering. The results found in the literature indicate that mindfulness, by promoting full attention and emotional self-regulation, contributes significantly to the reduction of levels of anxiety, stress and depressive symptoms. Meditation, in turn, acts as a tool for mind-body balance, providing benefits such as improved sleep quality, reduced muscle tension and increased concentration. It is concluded that both practices, when applied with adequate guidance, can be incorporated as complementary therapeutic strategies, even outside the clinical setting, favoring patient autonomy and continuity of mental health care. The integration of these techniques into the work of the psychologist represents an advance in more humanized care, focused on well-being and the promotion of comprehensive health.

PHARMACEUTICAL PERFORMANCE IN THE EVALUATION AND ADHERENCE TO PHARMACOLOGICAL TREATMENT OF TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS

Type 2 Diabetes mellitus is involved in important public health problems, implying high rates of morbidity and mortality. For people with diabetes, access to affordable treatments, including insulin and hypoglycemic agents, is essential for their survival. The main goal of type 2 diabetes treatment is blood sugar control, which helps prevent complications associated with the disease. The objective of the study is to characterize the role of the pharmacist in the evaluation and adherence to pharmacological treatment of DM2. The present study is an integrative review of the literature. To carry out the research in question, a review of the literature was carried out through scientific databases such as SciELO, BVS-Bireme, PUBMED, as well as on websites of official institutions, such as the Ministry of Health (MS). Furthermore, the search in the VHL was carried out involving the combined descriptors using Boolean operators: AND and OR. After searching the databases, 1097 titles were located by crossing descriptors. After analyzing the content and excluding studies due to divergence in thematic focus, only 8 studies met the eligibility criteria and were selected for analysis. It is noted that, as the health professional most accessible to the population, the pharmacist can have a great influence on adherence to treatment and its effectiveness, through guidance on the use of the drug, the importance of correctly following the medical prescription, reviewing the pharmacotherapy and thus avoiding undesirable effects, thus contributing to the improvement in the prognosis and quality of life of patients with DM2.

TRATAMENTO FISIOTERAPÊUTICO ASSOCIADO AO USO DE TOXINA BOTULÍNICA EM PACIENTES COM PARALISIA CEREBRAL ESPÁSTICA

This article is a literature review, with the aim of emphasizing the effects of Botulinum Toxin associated with physiotherapeutic treatments in patients with spastic cerebral palsy. CP is attributed to a group of non-progressive disorders resulting from damage to the maturing brain, and described as a set of postural and movement disorders that end up leading to functional limitations in the child. Botulinum Toxin A is a potent neurotoxin produced by the anaerobic bacterium Clostridium Botulinum, and is indicated in cases of spasticity, which is defined as stiffness and involuntary contractions of muscles, making movement difficult. For the development of this study, it was decided to carry out a bibliographical research based on a review of scientific literature. SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), Google Scholar, LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature) were used as the research database.

FILOSOFIA DA MATEMÁTICA: REFLEXÕES E INTERSEÇÕES DA LÓGICA E DO INFINITO

A análise filosófica da matemática desempenha um papel fundamental na promoção de novas perspectivas e metodologias dentro da disciplina, expandindo as possibilidades para a resolução de questões matemáticas. A presente investigação tem como propósito realizar uma avaliação crítica dessas distintas abordagens e teorias, buscando compreender suas repercussões tanto para a filosofia da matemática quanto para sua prática. Busca-se explorar de que modo as reflexões acerca dos fundamentos matemáticos podem contribuir para o seu desenvolvimento e aprimoramento. Para a realização deste estudo, adotaram-se procedimentos metodológicos de natureza qualitativa, apoiados em materiais já publicados, incluindo teses, livros e artigos científicos acessados por meio de plataformas acadêmicas como SciELO, Google Acadêmico, Portal de Periódicos CAPES, ResearchGate, entre outras, as quais facilitaram a construção do conhecimento e estimularam o debate entre diferentes visões. Os resultados indicaram que as reflexões neste campo têm favorecido o avanço do entendimento matemático. Tais reflexões exercem influência direta na educação matemática, moldando a maneira como a disciplina é ensinada em instituições escolares e universitárias. Conclui-se que as investigações sobre os fundamentos da filosofia da matemática são essenciais para o progresso desta área de estudo. Apesar dos obstáculos existentes, a continuidade das pesquisas e o diálogo entre diversas correntes filosóficas são imprescindíveis para aprofundar A compreensão acerca da essência e validade da matemática.

ODONTOLOGIA HOSPITALAR

Hospital dentistry has gained prominence due to its positive impact on the overall health of hospitalized patients, especially in intensive care units (ICUs), where the dentist plays a crucial role in preventing systemic infections such as ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). Neglect of oral hygiene contributes to biofilm accumulation, facilitating the colonization of respiratory pathogens, which can exacerbate systemic diseases. Moreover, the integration of the dentist into the multidisciplinary team promotes comprehensive care, reducing complications and length of hospital stay. Studies indicate that the presence of hospital dentistry can significantly reduce the incidence of VAP—by up to 46%—and consequently shorten ICU stays, reduce the use of antibiotics, and lower hospital costs associated with prolonged treatments. Proper management of oral conditions also accelerates clinical recovery, improves patients' quality of life, and contributes to the optimization of healthcare resources. However, the practice still faces challenges in Brazil, such as limited regulation and a general lack of awareness among the population and healthcare professionals regarding its benefits. This field aims not only to prevent diseases but also to promote patient well-being, highlighting its relevance to public health. Therefore, this project aims to investigate the role of the dentist in hospital settings, emphasizing their contribution to comprehensive and humanized care, and to discuss the challenges to expanding this practice in public and private institutions through a literature review based on scientific articles and official regulatory guidelines.

DANÇA E SAÚDE MENTAL: UMA ANÁLISE DOS EFEITOS DA DANÇA NA REDUÇÃO DO ESTRESSE E ANSIEDADE

This study aims to investigate the effects of dance practice on mental health, with an emphasis on reducing stress and anxiety levels. Through a literature review, scientific studies and academic publications were analyzed, exploring dance as an integrative and therapeutic bodily practice. The research shows that, in addition to physical benefits, dance promotes emotional balance, social interaction, and mood regulation, contributing to psychological well-being. The analyzed data suggest that incorporating dance as a complementary resource to conventional approaches in mental health care can be effective in promoting quality of life and preventing psychological disorders. It is concluded that valuing expressive and integrative practices in the health field represents a relevant strategy for the development of public policies aimed at comprehensive individual care.

ANALYSIS AND SIZING OF CRITICAL DRAINAGE POINTS ON JOAQUIM BATISTA DE OLIVEIRA AVENUE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF FORMOSO DO ARAGUAIA - TO: A STUDY FOR MITIGATION OF FLOODING PROBLEMS

This study aims to analyze and measure critical urban drainage points on Joaquim Batista de Oliveira Avenue, located in the municipality of Formoso do Araguaia – TO, in order to propose solutions to mitigate recurring flooding problems. The research was motivated by disorderly urban growth, which resulted in soil impermeability and a consequent increase in surface runoff. Hydrological and hydraulic modeling methods were used, as well as tools such as Google Earth Pro, Plúvio 2.1 and Hidro Terraço 1.0, to collect data and calculate maximum flow at the points analyzed. The results demonstrated the need to install storm drains to efficiently capture rainwater. The study also discussed the concepts and components of micro and macro drainage systems, in addition to presenting sustainable alternatives, such as eco-paving and green roofs. It is concluded that efficient planning and the use of appropriate technologies are essential to ensure safety, sustainability and quality of life in urban areas.

A RELEVÂNCIA DO BRINCAR LIVRE NAS APRENDIZAGENS DE CRIANÇAS

Abstract: The processes of interactions and play in early childhood education provide children with relevant learning in the educational context. In this sense, this article explores the practices of early childhood education teachers, as well as the teaching methodologies and difficulties encountered in this process, aiming to analyze the practices carried out by these teachers in the classroom when it comes to free play and guided play. The methodology was carried out through field research, with an exploratory qualitative approach, based on interviews with four teachers of classes of 4 and 5 year-olds, from two schools in Linhares/ES, one in the public network and the other in the private network. It is understood, from the results, that free play and guided play are distinct processes, but inseparable and essential for the construction of effective practices in the development of the child. A diversity in the practices of the teachers carried out in the classroom was also observed. On the one hand, some teachers are constantly searching for new teaching methodologies and, on the other hand, some teachers still show a certain fragility, as they are attached to a fully programmed routine.

TRANSTORNO OBSESSIVO COMPULSIVO E COVID-19

The main theme of this study is the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the worsening of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) symptoms, especially in relation to compulsive cleaning, avoidance, and checking behaviors. The research has the following research question as its research problem: what are the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the intensification of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) symptoms? Its general objective is to analyze the effects of the pandemic on the manifestation and worsening of OCD symptoms, and the specific objectives include: identifying the most affected symptoms, investigating the role of health measures in the intensification of these symptoms, and presenting therapeutic coping strategies in the post-pandemic context. To this end, a qualitative, exploratory methodology was adopted, based on a bibliographic review of scientific articles published in databases such as Scielo, PubMed and CAPES Periodicals, in addition to manuals such as the DSM-V and documents from the WHO and the Ministry of Health. The results of the theoretical analysis indicate that the pandemic contributed to the worsening of OCD symptoms in individuals already diagnosed, as well as to the emergence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms in people with no previous history, due to the fear of contamination and changes in social hygiene standards. It is concluded that the pandemic scenario socially validated certain compulsive rituals, requiring a more attentive clinical look at therapeutic interventions, especially with regard to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and the combined use of pharmacotherapy.

IMPACTO DA SAÚDE BUCAL NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA

A saúde bucal desempenha um papel fundamental na saúde integral do indivíduo, influenciando significativamente o bem estar-geral, a qualidade de vida e as interações sociais da população. Alterações na cavidade oral, como lesão de cárie e doenças periodontais, que resultam em perdas dentárias e dor, podem comprometer atividades básicas como a mastigação, além de provocar insatisfação até mesmo na estética facial, afetando diretamente aspectos físicos, emocionais e sociais. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar, por meio de revisão bibliográfica, os impactos das condições bucais na qualidade de vida, evidenciando a relevância da saúde bucal nas relações interpessoais, autoestima e desempenho das atividades cotidianas. A saúde bucal inadequada pode estar associada a qualidade de vida dos indivíduos, refletindo em limitações funcionais e danos psicossociais, como isolamento social e baixa autoestima. Diante disso, torna-se essencial reforçar a importância de estratégias focadas na prevenção e promoção da saúde bucal, com a finalidade de preservar as funções orais e a saúde mental dos indivíduos.

FORMAÇÃO E TRANSFORMAÇÃO EDUCACIONAL

Introduction: Education is going through a turning point, requiring a break with traditional models based on the mere transmission of content. The National Common Curricular Base (BNCC, 2017) highlights the importance of critical and humanized teaching, in which the teacher acts as a mediator and encourages student autonomy. In this context, audiovisual resources such as Alike (2015) and Quando Sinto que Já Sabe (2014) become fundamental. Alike criticizes the standardization that stifles children's creativity, while Quando Sinto que Já Sabe highlights innovative pedagogical practices in Brazil, which value interdisciplinarity and student protagonism, in line with the principles of Freire (1996) and Foucault (1975). Development: Teacher training is central to educational transformation. In Alike, the father figure symbolizes the teacher who, without critical preparation, represses the student's uniqueness. When I Feel I Already Know shows educators who, by challenging curricular rigidity, transform their practices. Pedagogical innovation requires ongoing training, active methodologies, and the use of digital technologies, aligning theory and practice in an integrated manner. In addition, teaching environments directly reflect learning: collaborative and interdisciplinary spaces, such as those portrayed in the documentary, promote engagement and creativity, as advocated by Dewey (1938). Finally, such practices impact the student profile, which migrates from a passive role to a critical, autonomous, and creative stance, in line with the BNCC. Conclusion: The analysis of Alike and When I Feel I Already Know shows that educational transformation requires three interdependent axes: innovative teacher training, creative teaching environments, and redefining the student profile. Prepared and sensitive teachers become catalysts for an education that values autonomy and the collective construction of knowledge. Thus, educators and students together build a school that not only transmits knowledge, but also forms critical and creative citizens, prepared for the challenges of a constantly changing society.

REFLEXOS DA LEI N° 13.465/2017 FRENTE À CONCRETIZAÇÃO DO DIREITO FUNDAMENTAL À MORADIA

The right to housing is expressly guaranteed by the 1988 Federal Constitution and must be ensured through urban public policies that reduce inequalities in access to urban spaces. In this context, Law No. 13,465/2017 (the Land Regularization Law) emerged in mid-2017, introducing unprecedented legal mechanisms such as land tenure legitimization and the real right to slab ownership. Accordingly, this article aims to analyze the impacts of this law and examine its significance as an instrument for the realization of this fundamental right. As for the methodology, this study consists of a literature review based on analytical-exploratory research conducted through books, scientific articles, and legal provisions related to the topic. In conclusion, it is found that Law No. 13,465/2017 was a significant milestone in advancing land regularization in Brazil and, consequently, in enforcing the right to housing.

CIDADES SUSTENTÁVEIS: MITO OU REALIDADE?

O protótipo de cidades sustentáveis exterioriza-se acerca de uma decifração insubstituível e iminente aos iminentes obstáculos ambientais, sociais e econômicos provocados pelo desenvolvimento urbano descontrolado presente nas últimas décadas. A vertiginosa amplificação dos lugares urbanos tem originado repercussões expressivas, a título de exemplo o incremento da poluição, dessemelhanças sociais, insuficiência de recursos naturais e enfraquecimento da infraestrutura urbana. Frente a este panorama, este artigo sugere uma ponderação a respeito da possibilidade de modificar os centros urbanos presentes em lugares mais verdes, envolventes, eficientes e resilientes, hábeis a promover qualidade de vida aos habitantes sem afetar as gerações futuras. Com base em um estudo crítico e multidisciplinar, averíguam-se os essenciais pilares que certificam o pensamento de uma cidade sustentável, integrando mobilidade urbana sustentável, utilização de fontes renováveis de energia, ingresso a habitação íntegra, gestão eficaz de resíduos sólidos e ascensão da colaboração dos seres humanos na tomada de decisões. Tais recursos, integrados, compõe a sustentação para um progresso urbano ponderado e incorporado. Além do mais, são analisados modelos factuais de projetos bem-sucedidos em torno do planeta, que ratificam como políticas públicas bem-sucedidas, associada à tecnologia e à cooperação através de governos, empresas e sociedade civil, são capazes de fomentar transformações reais. Independentemente dos empecilhos presentes a exemplo de limitações financeiras, obstáculos políticos e adversidades culturais, deduz que a edificação de cidades sustentáveis está assentindo de ser uma utopia longe para se fortificar acerca de uma oportunidade concreta e progressivamente necessária. Essa mudança, entretanto, necessita justamente de disposição política, comprometimento social contínuo, desenvolvimento estratégico de médio e longo prazo e capitalização em soluções inovadoras e tecnológicas. O futuro dos centros urbanos, por conseguinte, está intimamente conectado à habilidade de reinventar a maneira como vivemos, produzimos e nos relacionamos com o meio urbano.

USO DE BIOMATERIAIS EM TÉCNICAS DE REGENERAÇÃO PARA IMPLANTES E ENXERTOS NA ODONTOLOGIA

O uso de biomateriais na regeneração óssea e tissular tem se tornado um foco importante na odontologia, especialmente em procedimentos relacionados à implantação de próteses dentárias e na recuperação de defeitos ósseos. Esses materiais oferecem uma abordagem inovadora para melhorar a cicatrização e a integração do osso com implantes, visando não apenas a eficiência dos tratamentos, mas também o conforto e a saúde a longo prazo dos pacientes. As membranas biológicas, por exemplo, são amplamente utilizadas para criar um ambiente favorável para a regeneração óssea, permitindo a multiplicação de células ósseas e a recuperação de áreas afetadas. Como objetivos buscou-se a análise dos diferentes tipos de biomateriais disponíveis para a regeneração óssea, a avaliação da eficácia das membranas biológicas na promoção do crescimento ósseo e a investigação dos fatores que influenciam a integração desses materiais com os tecidos circundantes, corroborando o estudo com achados clínicos relevantes.

EFFECTIVENESS AND ADVERSE EFFECTS OF SEMAGLUTIDE IN THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY

A obesidade é uma doença crônica e complexa que afeta uma grande parte da população brasileira, gerando impactos significativos nos âmbitos físico, mental e social. Ela está frequentemente associada a comorbidades como diabetes tipo 2, hipertensão e doenças cardiovasculares, além de comprometer a qualidade de vida e o bem-estar geral dos indivíduos. Nos últimos anos, o uso da semaglutida como medicamento para perda de peso tem despertado grande interesse, embora frequentemente seja empregada na busca de resultados rápidos e sem a devida supervisão. Embora a semaglutida tenha sido aprovada para o tratamento da obesidade, é essencial que seu uso seja acompanhado por critérios clínicos específicos e monitoramento profissional. Visa, por meio de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, caracterizar a eficácia e os efeitos adversos da semaglutida no tratamento da obesidade. O presente estudo trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura científica. A coleta de dados foi feita em bases científicas da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Como critérios de inclusão, foram considerados estudos publicados entre 2019 e 2024, disponíveis na íntegra em português, inglês ou espanhol, e cujos objetivos estavam alinhados ao tema da pesquisa. Dos 65 artigos inicialmente encontrados, 10 foram selecionados para análise completa, após exclusão daqueles que não atendiam aos critérios estabelecidos. A semaglutida tem se destacado como uma alternativa farmacológica promissora no tratamento da obesidade, proporcionando redução significativa do peso corporal, do índice de massa corporal (IMC) e dos benefícios da cintura, além de melhorias nos parâmetros cardiometabólicos. Entretanto, sua utilização está associada a eventos adversos, principalmente gastrointestinais, que podem impactar a adesão ao tratamento. Estudos de longo prazo são essenciais para ampliar a comprovação de seus efeitos além da população adulta.

This study has as its central theme psychotherapy aimed at the elderly, with an emphasis on the psychoanalytic approach, seeking to reflect on the place occupied by the elderly in contemporary psychological clinics. The choice of the theme is justified by the increasing invisibility and stigmatization that accompany human aging, often marked by reductionist views that associate old age with fragility, dysfunction and incapacity. Such a perspective contributes to the silencing of relevant subjective and psychosocial demands in old age. The research aims to answer the following question: How can psychotherapy, especially psychoanalysis, contribute to the promotion of the mental health of the elderly in a social scenario marked by stigma and invisibility? The general objective is to analyze the importance of psychotherapy in promoting the mental health of the elderly, highlighting the contributions of the psychoanalytic approach. The specific objectives are: (a) to identify the main challenges faced by the elderly in the field of mental health; (b) to reflect on the place of the elderly in contemporary psychoanalytic clinics; and (c) mapping actions that favor social and psychological inclusion in old age. This is a bibliographic research, with a qualitative approach, based on scientific articles published in the SciELO, PePSIC and Google Scholar databases. The selection criteria included productions in Portuguese, published between 2013 and 2023, that address mental health, aging, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. The data analyzed demonstrate a significant lack of academic productions that focus on old age as a legitimate field of clinical listening, as well as a gap in the training and practice of mental health professionals in welcoming the singularities of the elderly subject. By highlighting this gap, the study contributes to broadening the debate on the urgency of a more inclusive, critical and sensitive clinical practice to the specificities of aging.

TRANSPORTE HIDROVIÁRIO ESCOLAR NO AMAPÁ

For millions of Brazilian students, water transportation for school children is not an option, but the only way to access school. This study analyzes the dynamics of water transportation for school children in riverside communities in the interior of the state of Amapá, focusing on the perceptions of users, the weaknesses of the service, and possible improvements to ensure safe and dignified access to education and social justice. Given this problem, it was felt that there was a need to discuss and democratize information that would allow for an understanding of the point of view of users and the agencies responsible for managing this transportation in the state. The methodology was based on a qualitative and quantitative approach, with the help of documentary research and on-site visits, to better understand the indicators obtained in the interviews involving students, parents, teachers, and technicians from schools that depend on this type of transportation. The results demonstrate, with regard to the implementation of public policies aimed at water transportation for school children, the need for decentralized strategies that consider the socio-territorial specificities of the different regions that depend on this type of transportation. This approach must recognize the unique characteristics of local contexts, valuing the institutional capacities of states and municipalities. Thus, the study reinforces the urgency of integrated public policies that consider the specificities of the Amazon and ensure that children and adolescents remain in school through decent, safe and regular transportation.

The Best Interesrs Of The Child: Joint Custody And Parental Alienation

Joint custody is a legal model that aims to ensure the balanced participation of both parents in decisions and responsibilities related to raising children, even after the end of the marital relationship. It seeks to preserve emotional ties with the father and mother, ensuring the best interests of the child and promoting harmonious coexistence. Unlike unilateral custody, in which only one parent holds primary responsibility, joint custody involves co-responsibility and the joint exercise of parental authority. Parental alienation occurs when one parent manipulates the child to distance him or her from the other, compromising the emotional and psychological bond with the child. This practice can cause serious emotional harm to the child and negatively influence his or her development. In this context, joint custody emerges as an important mechanism for preventing parental alienation. By promoting the active and continuous participation of both parents in the child's life, the possibility of one of them exerting harmful influence over the child or restricting contact with the other is reduced. Furthermore, the model encourages shared responsibility, cooperation and dialogue between parents, minimizing conflicts and ensuring a healthier environment for the development of children and young people. Thus, shared custody not only ensures the full exercise of parental authority, but also acts as an effective instrument in protecting the child's emotional health in the face of family breakdowns.

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF BRAZILIAN COMMERCIAL BANKS FROM 2011 TO 2017

The article aims to perform a financial analysis of the 13 Brazilian commercial banks that still existed between 2011 and 2017, in a historical context in which the country had a much broader structure of commercial banks. Over time, many of these institutions ceased operations, merged, or transformed into multiple banks and other types of banks. Using liquidity, profitability, and debt indicators, the study assesses the economic and financial performance of banks such as B3, Banco da Amazônia, and Banco Máxima. The data, extracted from balance sheets and interviews with experts, reveal a strong concentration in the sector, with Banco B3 standing out. The article concludes that, despite the loss of space, commercial banks remain relevant, but they need to adapt to digitalization and competition from fintechs to survive in the current financial market.

ANALYSIS OF THE DIFFICULTIES OF HUMANITARIAN LOGISTICS PRACTICED WITH THE RIVERSIDE RESIDENTS OF TARUMÃ MIRIM DURING THE EXTREME AMAZONIAN DROUGHT OF 2024 AND MITIGATION PROPOSALS

This study aimed to analyze the difficulties of humanitarian logistics practiced among the riverside dwellers of the Tarumã Mirim River during the drought and to propose courses of action capable of mitigating its harmful impacts. The survey method was used, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and observation with a sample intentionally chosen from among the actors with the most significant participation and knowledge of the logistics actions practiced, analyzed with semantic and content analysis techniques, and the results presented in summary tables. The results showed that the difficulties in a) transporting goods were the reduction in river levels and the appearance of sandbanks and rocks; b) in the distribution of essential services were the failures in the supply of water and energy and health and education; in communication, the existence of few transmission towers, the lack of fiber optics, the lack of satellite communication and the high prices of communication equipment; d) the impacts of the difficulties were the reduction in the transport of goods, the impossibility of river traffic and the inability to carry out environmental logistics; and e) mitigation was to create infrastructure and access to water resources, improve transportation infrastructure, promote economic resilience, preserve the environment with sustainable resource management, strengthen participatory public policies and partnerships and universalize information and communication technology. The conclusion points to the lack of systematic humanitarian logistics during the 2024 drought, whose actions were closer to improvisation than those of other regions cataloged in scientific databases.

TRABALHANDO O SISTEMA MONETÁRIO DE FORMA DIFERENCIADA COM ESTUDANTES DOS ANOS INICIAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

Este trabalho buscou relatar uma experiência pedagógica realizada com alunos do 3º ano E da CMEB Elizabeth Sanchez Lacerda envolvendo a disciplina de matemática, especificamente conteúdos relacionados ao sistema monetário brasileiro. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa se caracteriza como um relato de experiência. A coleta de dados utilizou diário de campo, registros audiovisuais, observações e rodas de conversa com os alunos. A análise foi interpretativa, com foco nos significados das interações e nos avanços das aprendizagens. O resultado foi um texto formal e reflexivo que expressa as contribuições da experiência. Como principais resultados é possível afirmar que a atividade desenvolvida sobre o sistema monetário brasileiro evidenciou o valor de práticas contextualizadas no ensino da Matemática. Os alunos participaram com entusiasmo, aprenderam de forma significativa e desenvolveram competências sociais e cognitivas. A experiência mostrou que a matemática ganha sentido quando vinculada ao cotidiano e à vivência concreta dos estudantes.

THE POTENTIAL OF GAMES AS MEDIATORS IN MATHEMATICS TEACHING IN BASIC EDUCATION

Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar a aplicação de jogos matemáticos no ensino médio, analisando sua efetividade no processo de aprendizagem dos estudantes de uma escola pública municipal. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema, bem como uma pesquisa de campo com alunos de educação básica. Os resultados evidenciaram que os jogos matemáticos contribuem significativamente para o ensino da matemática, favorecendo a compreensão conceitual, o desenvolvimento do raciocínio lógico e o engajamento dos alunos nas atividades pedagógicas. No entanto, ressalta-se que o uso de jogos matemáticos não deve ser considerado uma solução isolada para os desafios educacionais atuais. A concretização desse tipo de abordagem depende da mediação docente, sendo necessário que os professores utilizem os jogos como ferramentas didáticas intencionais, alinhadas aos objetivos pedagógicos, e não apenas como atividades recreativas desvinculadas do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Dessa forma, a pesquisa conclui que os jogos matemáticos representam uma estratégia didática exitosa para o ensino da matemática na educação básica, desde que sua implementação seja acompanhada por uma reflexão crítica sobre sua aplicação e por práticas pedagógicas estruturadas, que integrem os jogos ao currículo escolar de maneira significativa.

A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DOS JOGOS PARA MELHORAR O APRENDIZADO NA MATEMÁTICA

O presente estudo visa analisar as abordagens atuais da educação matemática, centrando-se no desenvolvimento da matemática. A questão central da investigação é a necessidade de melhorar o ensino da matemática desde a mais tenra idade, a fim de desenvolver competências essenciais ao longo da vida. O principal objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a utilização dos jogos digitais como um procedimento metodológico para ensinar Matemática visando ao desenvolvimento de competências e habilidades essenciais para a formação dos estudantes. A fundamentação teórica baseia-se em autores relevantes na área que enfatizam o papel da matemática no desenvolvimento de uma cidadania crítica. O método utilizado será uma análise de revisão bibliográfica com ênfase em livros e artigos, de autores mais atuais e relevantes sobre o tema abordado. Os dados foram analisados à luz das teorias contemporâneas da educação matemática. Os resultados sugerem que a utilização de tecnologias educativas, jogos e práticas interdisciplinares são fundamentais para o sucesso da literacia matemática, proporcionando uma aprendizagem mais significativa e relevante para os alunos.

This research, entitled "Childhood Protection and Healthy (Un)Development", proposes a critical analysis of the impacts of the lack of biopsychosocial protection on child development, especially in contexts of social vulnerability. The relevance of the topic is anchored in the growing medicalization of childhood and the neglect of fundamental rights, even in the face of the existence of legal instruments such as the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA). Starting from the guiding question — How can the work of the psychologist contribute to ensuring the comprehensive protection of childhood and preventing compromised psychological development in contexts of social vulnerability? — the study has the general objective of understanding the psychological consequences for children associated with contexts of helplessness and analyzing the role of the psychologist in promoting comprehensive child protection. This is a qualitative, exploratory research, based on a bibliographic review. The sources used include books, scientific articles and legal documents, selected from the SciELO, PePSIC and Google Scholar databases, focusing on publications on childhood, psychoanalysis, public policies and human development. The expected results involve expanding the understanding of the effects of biopsychosocial neglect in childhood and strengthening the clinical and ethical perspective of psychologists regarding children's needs, contributing to more sensitive, non-pathologizing practices that are committed to promoting the child's integral development.

IMPACTOS E DESAFIOS DA NEGLIGÊNCIA FAMILIAR NA EDUCAÇÃO E NO DESENVOLVIMENTO INFANTIL

This study investigated the impacts and challenges of family neglect in early childhood
education, using a bibliographic methodology. Neglect occurs when there is mistreatment and the
omission of basic care, and is a serious social problem. Family neglect is a phenomenon that is often
silent and difficult to identify, which makes addressing it even more challenging. For example,
children can develop anxiety disorders, learning difficulties and self-esteem problems, and these
consequences can last a lifetime. Given this worrying scenario, it is concluded that it is essential to
implement a multidisciplinary preventive approach. This involves collaboration between family
members, educators and health professionals to identify signs of neglect and provide the necessary
support to children at risk. Awareness programs on the importance of adequate care during
childhood are essential to promote a healthy and safe environment for children's development. Only
through a joint effort will it be possible to ensure more effective teaching and learning, providing
children with the necessary opportunities to grow up healthy and happy.

This work investigates the synergy between design and functionality in the engineering of residential and corporate projects, with the aim of understanding how the integration of these two elements can improve the efficiency, sustainability and adaptability of architectural and structural projects. The research addresses fundamental concepts of architecture and civil engineering, as well as the evolution of architectural projects over time, presenting the importance of the interaction between aesthetics and functionality in the creation of spaces. To this end, two case studies are analyzed: Casa Grelha, located in São Paulo, Brazil, and BedZED, in London, UK, both of which are examples of how design and engineering practices can be applied synergistically, prioritizing efficiency and sustainability.

A IMPORTÂNCIA DA EDUCAÇÃO EM SAÚDE BUCAL NAS ESCOLAS

RESUMO

Este artigo discute a importância de promover a saúde bucal no ambiente escolar, ressaltando o fato da formação de hábitos saudáveis poder ajudar a prevenir problemas como cáries e doenças periodontais. A saúde bucal vai muito além da estética, ela influencia diretamente a autoestima, a socialização e o bem-estar geral das crianças e adolescentes. Por isso, as escolas têm um papel estratégico nesse processo, oferecendo um espaço contínuo de convivência e aprendizado, ideal para desenvolver práticas preventivas. O objetivo principal da pesquisa foi entender como os programas educativos voltados para a saúde bucal impactam o conhecimento e o comportamento dos estudantes. Também buscou-se avaliar o papel dos professores como agentes multiplicadores dessas práticas e explorar métodos que possam tornar essas ações mais eficazes e interessantes. Os resultados mostram que, embora a escola seja um ambiente privilegiado para esse tipo de iniciativa, muitos professores ainda não se sentem preparados para abordar o tema com segurança. A falta de capacitação em saúde bucal é um dos principais obstáculos à efetividade desses programas. Por isso, a formação continuada dos educadores surge como uma necessidade, garantindo que eles possam orientar os alunos de forma adequada. Além disso, estratégias como atividades lúdicas, jogos educativos e campanhas interativas foram apontadas como ferramentas valiosas para aumentar o engajamento dos estudantes e facilitar a aprendizagem. Quando bem conduzidas, essas ações não só informam, mas também incentivam a aplicação dos cuidados bucais no dia a dia. A pesquisa reforça que a parceria entre as escolas, os profissionais da saúde e as famílias é essencial para fortalecer o impacto dessas ações. Quando todos os envolvidos trabalham juntos, cria-se uma rede de conscientização que beneficia toda a comunidade escolar. Concluiu-se, portanto, que investir em programas educativos contínuos e na formação dos professores é essencial para promover a saúde bucal nas escolas e contribuir para a formação de uma geração mais consciente e saudável.

DESTAQUE NA MULTIDÃO VIRTUAL: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

A democratização da internet e a expressiva ampliação das formas de comunicação nos espaços virtuais mobilizam amplos segmentos da sociedade, influenciando nosso cotidiano. A forma como alguns se destacam, se movimentam, influenciam multidões e assumem papel protagonista nesses espaços virtuais, têm gerado interesse e sido objeto de diversas investigações. O objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar o estado da arte a partir da problemática: Como se destacar na multidão virtual? Para tanto se buscou caracterizar este fenômeno por meio do levantamento da produção científica acerca dos seguintes conceitos: multidão, linguagem, destaque, destaque virtual, multidão virtual, espaço virtual e rede social; mapeando as publicações no campo de destaque na multidão virtual; e identificar as estratégias usadas para ser destaque na multidão virtual. Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa da literatura, com abordagem descritiva e exploratória. Os descritores foram pesquisados em seis bases de dados: CAPES, Scielo, Google Acadêmico, Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD), Science Open e Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC), sendo selecionados 62 textos. Os resultados alcançados apontam para algumas características que foram destacadas para responder a pergunta de investigação. Diante das evidências identificadas podemos trazer como considerações finais que para se destacar na multidão virtual faz-se necessário, entre outros fatores, uma ação segmentada por tipo de mídia e de conteúdo que se pretende transmitir, selecionando o nicho desejado e buscando se apropriar das características da linguagem desse meio.

THE IMPORTANCE OF VEGETABLE GROWING IN THE DYNAMIZATION OF THE PRODUCTIVE CHAIN OF VEGETABLES IN FAMILY AGRICULTURE IN BRAZIL

Family farming in Brazil accounts for 77% of rural establishments and plays an essential role in food production for the domestic market, with olericulture standing out as a strategic activity for productive diversification, employment generation, income, and strengthening food security. The production of vegetables, primarily carried out on small properties, faces challenges such as limited access to technology, credit, infrastructure, and marketing channels, factors that hinder its growth and competitive market integration. Nevertheless, olericulture proves to be an efficient and sustainable alternative to invigorate the agricultural production chain, leveraging the growing demand for fresh and healthy foods, while promoting more responsible agricultural practices. The history of vegetable cultivation in Brazil dates back to Portuguese colonization, which introduced various species adapted to local conditions, establishing the activity as an important source of income, especially in the Southeast and South regions, with potential for expansion in other areas like the Northeast. The study indicates that, to strengthen the family farming production chain, it is crucial to implement specific public policies, invest in accessible technologies, and reinforce marketing networks, thereby promoting sustainable rural development, social inclusion, and environmental preservation.

BIODEGRADATION OF ACRYLIC-STYRENE COPOLYMER WITH REDUCTION OF TOXIC EFFECT IN CUCUMIS ANGURIA L.

Synthetic polymers offer several industrial applications, however their persistence in the environment denotes a challenge. This work assessed the use of an acrylic-styrene copolymer (ASC) as the sole of carbon by Pseudomonas aeruginosa TGC04 and the ecotoxicological effects of the metabolites on germination and development of Cucumis anguria L. (Gherkin). The experiment was carried out in flasks containing minimal mineral medium added with ASC 1% and incubated for 72h at 30ºC. The contaminant reduction was 5,01%, determined by gravimetry. Compared to the control, it resulted in a partial recovery of plant development and demonstrated a significant difference in root biomass (p=0.041) and a tendency to significance in the aerial part biomass (p=0.065), i.e., stem and leaves. In conclusion, P. aeruginosa TGC04 showed potential for use in bioremediation.

EXTRAJUDICIAL RECOVERY: SAVING COMPANIES

This article deals with the institute of Judicial and Extrajudicial Recovery in Brazil, such institute is established in the Brazilian legal system, more specifically in Law No. 11.101, of February 9, 2005. This Law came to regulate the judicial recovery, the extrajudicial recovery and the bankruptcy of the entrepreneur and the business society, considered a great advance for the Brazilian legal system, since it brought greater security and dynamism to the entire procedure, especially for the companies and for the others involved. As the article progresses, the advantages of the extrajudicial recovery will be demonstrated, with practical examples, as this is a faster way and capable of solving the problem of the insolvent debtor. The methodology adopted was exploratory, with the use of the bankruptcy and recovery law, the Civil Code, case law, doctrinal works, as well as websites with legal content. The choice of the theme is justified given the relevance of judicial and extrajudicial recovery for the entrepreneur and the business society, as well as a greater understanding of the bankruptcy procedure and the possibility of its conversion to the recovery so desired by the entrepreneur in the face of the crisis in the company.

This article focuses on the role of Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) in dealing with severe mental disorders, from a critical and psychoanalytic perspective. Based on the historical perspective of madness as a social construction, the article discusses the persistence of asylum practices in new institutional guises. The general objective of the research is to analyze the role of CAPS in dealing with severe mental disorders, from a critical and psychoanalytic perspective, in order to understand how these psychosocial care centers respond to the demands of individuals in intense psychological distress, questioning whether such practices actually break with the exclusionary logic of the asylum. The methodology adopted is a bibliographic review, based on the contributions of Michel Foucault, Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan and other thinkers of the Psychiatric Reform and Psychoanalysis, in order to map the control and care devices that have historically marked the treatment of madness. The expected result is to provoke conceptual shifts in the understanding of mental disorders, contributing to the critique of excessive pathologization and to the valorization of singular therapeutic practices, supported by human dignity and the universal right to mental health.

A MASTURBAÇÃO E A ESTIMULAÇÃO SEXUAL COMO FACILITADORES DO TRABALHO DE PARTO

Childbirth is an intricate physiological process, regulated by hormonal, emotional and neurological relationships, in which oxytocin is one of the main hormones responsible for inducing and maintaining uterine contractions. In view of the growing desire to seek non-pharmacological alternatives that provide a more natural and humanized birth, this research aimed to investigate, based on recent scientific research, how masturbation and sexual stimulation can function as facilitators of labor. The investigation was carried out through a qualitative analysis, with bibliographical research of scientific sources published in the last ten years in the areas of obstetrics, human sexuality and physiology of childbirth. The research was conducted in databases such as SciELO, PubMed and LILACS, giving priority to materials with scientific evidence and practical relevance. The findings indicated that practices such as orgasm and nipple stimulation promote the release of oxytocin and endorphins, helping to accelerate contractions and relieve pain. Furthermore, explanations from pregnant women and health professionals indicate that these practices can provide relaxation, strengthen emotional bonds and a sense of control during the birth process, in line with the principles of humanized childbirth and women's autonomy. Although there is still prejudice on the subject, the results reinforce the importance of considering sexuality as a significant dimension in obstetric care, with the potential to expand the care alternatives available to pregnant women. This study also highlighted the need to overcome cultural and institutional barriers so that evidence-based practices can be incorporated in an ethical, safe and respectful manner in the context of childbirth.
